All I need to do now is somehow get the bloody anti tamper cover removed as I am sure I have a good ft lb to play with and still remain comfortably within the limit. This stiff carbon fiber rod attaches to any of the picatinny accessory rails of many rifles, and allows the perfect positioning of the FX Radar Chronograph without effecting POI should you take the Chronograph Mount off the rifle while ensuring the perfect positioning for completely accurate readings with your chronograph. If the unit has enough power more data points could be collected and used to report velocity down range and calculate pellet BC.

After I downloaded the app (FX radar) and paired it with my iphone 11, I tried to shoot some shots off my FX impact MK2 but the app didn't show any reading or sound. It makes a mockery if you move it and it alters the reading because you have no way of knowing which is the optimum position and which reading to believe. You still need to use the existing Chronograph barrel mount that comes with your Chronograph and elastic bands. Nothing to set up apart from your phone enter the type of gun projectile weight and calibre and away you go.So the best option is to use a Labradar which tracks the pellet through several predetermined distances and gives you BC calculations on the fly.

There is also a slot on the bottom side that allows you to mount the chrono on an edge, for example a fence. So add on varied pellet weights and the 40fps mentioned in first post would be right for this device. Me saying it calculates the velocity back to the muzzle and you saying it 'Extrapolates the velocity back to Time Zero' is a different way of saying the same thing. But I quickly figured things out and I was putting shots over the chronograph 10 minutes after opening the box.

I have come to the conclusion it seems quite accurate and provided its somewhere between an inch and 3 inch from the end of the muzzle the readings are not affected. It provides an instant feedback velocity reading, without the need to look away from your scope – as the FX Chronograph Display is mounted either under the scope on the FX Impact, or on the side accessory rail on other rifles using a picatinny adapter. It communicates via Bluetooth to either your smart phone or the FX Chrono-graph Display (sold separately).

But there’s a lot more road left to travel there, and someone also needs to work out a good gun mount. Make sure your blinking “connect” light on your phone when pressed with your finger displays “connected” on your phone. For those of you that have access to a 3D printer we now offer you to use our mount design for Maverick and Wildcat.

If that's the case they should state exactly how far from the muzzle it should be as they will be calibrated for a set distance. is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, register number 689922 and act as a credit broker and not a lender. Hopefully, future updates will address the other items on my list, as well as adding an interface for a weather station and ballistic apps, although in this regard I hear that FX are promising to add their own ballistic calculator within the Radar app.

This little box of magic is awesome once you have set it up correctly it does all the hardwork for you. This provides actual data in your conditions, info that provides the difference between a hit and a miss. OK it's not going to give you the accuracy of the forensic firearms lab, but is still a fair guide to where you are.
