My only gripe is that the standby feature utilizes a threshold that is a little high for my taste - you have to pump some real signal through this thing to get it to "kick on. While reciting the T Series design language, the T10S is one of the most compact subwoofers in its class, which allows it to be easily integrated into any studio environment. The Adam T10S represents an affordable yet efficient way to open up your low end frequencies for a project or home studio.

The stereo imaging is amazing and you can hear more detail in your mixes that previously went un-noticed.The compact frame houses a 130W Class D amplifier that delivers a rich bass whatever audio you're recording. Only thing I can do is reboot the Focusrite (likely a different issue) and crank it up for a second, but since this is my "creative" period, it is an interruption. I'm happy to say that at normal listening levels the sub seemed to be barely ticking over, so it has plenty of headroom on tap for those brief 'turn it up' moments. This is particularly useful, for example, when you work in "annoying" hours, with very low frequencies that do not represent a priority and you want to minimize the disturbance for the neighbors and the inhabitants of the floor below. Its active crossover can be set to either 80Hz, 120Hz or bypass, and appropriately high-pass–filtered outputs are provided to feed the connected 'tops'.

Often users have their sub set way too loud, but the right way to set it is so that when you hit the footswitch to compare the sound with the main speakers on their own, all you miss is that lower octave — there should be no extra sense of loudness at the bass end with the switched sub in, just a sense of more depth. Equipped with a down-firing 10˝ woofer and a 130 W Class-D amplifier, the T10S’ frequency response ranges from 28 Hz to 120 Hz and offers an impressive max. Regardless of what you pair the T10s subwoofer with, you’ll be sure to get an incredibly balanced sound.The options at the rear of the subwoofer allow for varied adjustments which compensate for room acoustics or they offer more control for satellites attached. As mentioned by other commenters, this sub does have a standby mode that keeps it off when not in use.
