Jock and Francesco Francavilla’s artwork: Both Jock and Francesco Francavilla’s artwork greatly contributed to the dark atmosphere of this story. His current works include Batman , Batman: Eternal Superman Unchained , American Vampire and Swamp Thing . For Batman that's never a good thing, especially if you’re Dick Grayson, the original Robin, now stepping into the shoes of your mentor. They investigate several murders and track down two officers who have sold equipment from the super-villain evidence locker to a mysterious man known as the Dealer.

It's one of the best Batman books out there and is destined to become a classic - what're you waiting for? The plot tells the continued adventures of Dick Grayson as Batman, as Bruce Wayne continues his work for Batman Incorporated. Dick manages to track down the Joker in the South Bowery Tunnels, but Joker tells him that he wasn't the one who mutilated Joker's ex-wife but James Gordon Junior. Snyder’s stories and the artwork are remarkably good, and got me revved up about Batman for the first time since Morrison started mucking around with the character. Once again involving some of the wider Bat family, this time it's Grayson's Batman and the Gordons who have to face the ultimate depravity of a human gone wrong in the pervasive darkness and corruption of Gotham.Commissioner Gordon's ex-wife Barbara Eileen is attacked in her hotel room by Joker Venom, and placed into critical care. It gives his Batman a presence that lacks the hardness that Bruce placed into it but still manages to be just as formidable. There is a dead woman inside the whale, and Batman visits Sonia to investigate the death of her friend. Though intimately familiar with Gotham's horrific landscapes and feels personally obliged to protects its people, Dick never felt that he belonged in this city of nightmares and most of his character conflict stems from the fact that he's a bird constantly trying to be imprisoned in a cage by forces which he could not always comprehend but nonetheless fights back with much vigor and resilience.

I can't even think of another comic book villain that actually scared me but James was scary because he was so real, so plausible. It is actually a series of stories encapsulating the moral and spiritual toll that Gotham collects from Dick Grayson and Jim Gordon. No wonder he's rocking the main Batman title still, even after four years since the launch of New 52. And this is no exception, with several clever red herrings included in the plot as delicate distractions.Upon taking the Cowl, he already has unique relationships with the members of the Batman family that are different from that of Bruce Wayne.

First of all, I'm starting a batman collection and I didn't want to read any batman book with Robin in it or anything like that because I didn't like the idea of robin. Batman and Red Robin take down the bird poachers responsible for the aviary, although the Dealer's hallucinogenics are still in Batman's system.

Dick must battle against several villains, one of whom is selling various super villain weapons and items in an underground black market. I've also created a number of series with some great co-creators and partners -- books like We Have Demons, Clear, Night of the Ghoul, Nocterra, American Vampire, Wytches, the Wake, AD: After Death, and more. Batman infiltrates the Mirror House with Oracle's help, a moving location the Dealer uses to hold his macabre auctions. She is a decent woman who seems terrified, and Batman tracks her problems down to a weapons smuggler named Bixby Rhodes.

Come check out a twisted and dark tale of Dick Grayson and Jim Gordon and a city where nothing is what it seems and everything seems to go bad in the end. Now I want to get all the graphic novels with Dick, Jason, Tim, Barbara, red hood, night wing, and Damien. Dang, I do like The Joker as one of the villains of Batman, I think that that’s possible to make an epic Batman’s story without the need of having the Clown Prince of Crime around. Tim Drake and Lucius Fox create a mask that allows Dick to sneak in by giving him a mask that lets him impersonate William Rhodes. As the conflict comes closer to its resolution, they find that the truth behind this murderous crime spree isn’t just careening toward their doorstep—it has in fact emerged from it.Dick manages to free himself and escape while Tiger Shark gets away, and goes to meet James Gordon Junior to catch up with him. Commissioner Gordon uses the Wayne crime labs again when a dead killer whale is found in the middle of a large Gotham bank run by Tony Zucco's daughter Sonia Zucco.
