All is hand etched, except "STERLING" is stamped, "[MPO logo]®" and MPO stamper numbers are laser etched. As for the vinyl release, each version will be pressed in a unique colourway: the ‘Jade Green’ edition comes in a marbling of jade, turquoise and deep blue, the ‘Blood Moon’ edition comes with in pastel orange marbled with tinges of crimson, and the ‘Mahogany’ edition comes in translucent mahogany brown marbled with black. The first track, "Lavender Haze", illustrates this sometimes uncontrolled thought-streaming by placing the foreground lead vocals against a background of nebulous voices that flit to and fro without solid meaning. In today’s streaming-centric music industry, physical albums have become collectible tokens of fandom, and artists have been responding to growing demand. The color for it is really pretty tho, it comes second as my favorite pressing behind the Target Lavender!

The vocals and song structure don't differ too much from the previous albums, although I would say in general this one is more low-key. And if you turn them over, there is obviously a back cover to each one of them, they’re each different. The mix itself is also wonderful but my copy is marred by some rather distracting surface noise throughout side A.Similarly, the ‘Blood Moon’ edition of ‘Midnights’ features a gradient of deep red to orange, and the ‘Mahogany’ edition comes with brown and gold accents.

The floors we pace and the demons we face – the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout Taylor’s life. Then she's thinking about fun she had the night before, as she asks in "Maroon", "How'd we end up on the floor anyway? I didn’t know how explicit/mature the album would be before purchasing, which is what led to my low rating.The songs go on to describe a memorable night that was "like snow on the beach/Weird but ******' beautiful", a disappointment ("I picked the petals, he loves me not"), her hometown ("a wasteland full of cages, full of fences/Pageant queens and big pretenders"), a feeling of confidence ("Best believe I'm still bejeweled/When I walk in the room/I can still make the whole place shimmer"), a feeling of distress ("I hate that everybody just expects me to bounce back, just like that"), revenge ("Karma's gonna track you down/Step by step from town to town"), and a safe harbor ("They said the end is coming. Few artists, if any, attract as much attention as Swift does for her promotion and sales strategy, thanks largely to her close relationship with her fans. After ultrasonic cleaning the records are still pretty noisy in some parts but also pretty quiet in others. The set, as Swift described them via Instagram, will contain “the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life.
